House Cleaning Checklist

Please fill out our Green-Clean Checklist and We'll make sure to tailor each cleaning job to your request. Maid Green uses this checklist to clean our clients houses on a regular basis. If you are a new customer please allow more time to clean your place.

Each Room:

	Fan blades dusted.		Furniture dusted.
	Cobwebs removed.		Artwork frames dusted.
	Base boards vacuum/dusted as needed.		Mirrors cleaned spot and streak free.
	Door frames & 'fingerprint zone' on doors wiped.		Vacuumed and mopped.
	Door knobs wiped.		Area rugs vacuumed/shaken out and replaced.
	Window sills and ledges wiped.		Blinds dusted*
	Switch plates all wiped.		Make beds (sheets must be left on bed)

Kitchen:

	Dishes loaded in dishwasher.		All appliances exteriors wiped.
	Counter tops wiped.		Refrigerator water tray wiped.
	Sinks sanitized and dried.		Microwave cleaned inside and outside.
	Coffeepot emptied and wiped.		Cabinet doors wiped.
	Toaster wiped.		Handles to all doors and cabinets wiped.

Bathrooms:

	Floor vacuumed.		Mirrors spot and streak free.
	Dust Air Extractor Fan.		Sink fixtures wiped.
	Tub cleaned and dried.		Vanity lights wiped.
	Toilet bowl cleaned complete.		Towel folded in racks.
	Sink and counter tops clean.		Floors mopped.

Carpet Cleaning

Why is traditional carpet cleaning not good for my home or my health?

The main ingredients in most commercial carpet cleaning solutions are perchloroethylene, the infamous dry cleaning additive which can cause dizziness, fatigue, nausea, kidney and liver damage, and naphthalene, which is both neurotoxic and a possible human carcinogen, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Here are some tips for removing stains, the natural way.

Mud: Rub salt on the mud. Let it rest for an hour, then vacuum.

Coffee: Rub club soda into the spot. Clean up with a sponge.

Red wine: Cover stain with salt while wet. Let dry completely, then vacuum.

Chocolate: Mix Borax and water to make a paste. Rub into stain.

Grease: Cover with cornstarch or cornmeal, let sit awhile, rub in and vacuum.

For a heavy duty carpet cleanser take 1/4 cup each of salt, borax and vinegar and mix to form a paste, then rub onto carpet. Follow by vacuuming the spot thoroughly.
